Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Who we are

TradieVision ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian software platform that helps trade businesses collect pre-site information from their customers before a job. We are committed to handling all personal information with care, transparency, and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@tradievision.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect two categories of personal information: Trade business accounts (tradies): name, email address, business name, phone number, and account credentials when you sign up or update your profile. If you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and trade. Customer information (homeowners and property owners): name, email address, phone number, property address, photos of the property, and answers to pre-site assessment questions. This information is submitted by customers via a form link sent by their tradie.

3. How we collect it

Tradie information is collected directly when you create an account, join the waitlist, or update your settings. Customer information is collected when a customer completes a pre-site briefing form sent to them by their tradie via TradieVision. Customers are informed at the point of submission that their information will be shared with their tradie.

4. Why we collect it and how we use it

We collect personal information only for the purpose of delivering the TradieVision service: — To create and manage tradie accounts and the beta waitlist — To send pre-site briefing forms to customers on behalf of tradies — To store and display form responses to the tradie who requested them — To send transactional emails (form delivery, account notices, waitlist confirmations) — To improve the platform and diagnose technical issues We do not use customer form data for advertising or profiling, or for any purpose beyond operating the service.

5. Who we share it with

Customer information is shared only with the specific tradie who sent the form request — no one else. We use the following third-party services to operate the platform, each of whom may process personal data on our behalf: — Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in Australia) — Resend (transactional email delivery) — Vercel (application hosting and aggregate analytics) — Upstash (rate limiting) — Meta (advertising measurement on our marketing site — see section 9) We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party.

6. How long we keep it

Tradie account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Customer form responses are retained until the tradie deletes the client record or closes their account. Tradies can delete individual client records and all associated data at any time from their dashboard. When a tradie closes their TradieVision account, all associated client data is permanently deleted. Waitlist records are deleted once the beta program concludes or on request.

7. Security

We take the security of personal information seriously. TradieVision uses: — Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit — Row-level security on our database so each tradie can only access their own data — Server-side authentication on all data operations — Time-limited access tokens for customer form links — Rate limiting on public endpoints to prevent abuse No system is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@tradievision.com.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to: — Access the personal information we hold about you — Request correction of inaccurate information — Request deletion of your personal information — Make a complaint about how we handle your data To exercise any of these rights, email support@tradievision.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Cookies and analytics

The TradieVision application uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. Our public marketing site additionally uses Vercel Analytics (aggregate, privacy-friendly page analytics) and the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure the performance of our advertising. You can limit ad-related tracking through your browser settings and your Meta ad preferences. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify tradie account holders by email.
